Loctite® 243 Threadlocker Medium Strength Blue 6ml

LOCTITE® 243 is a blue, general-purpose threadlocker that prevents fastener loosening on vibrating assemblies such as pumps, gearboxes, or presses. It works on all metals without primer, including passive substrates like stainless steel, aluminium, and plated surfaces. This medium-strength adhesive is ideal for securing bolts, nuts, and threaded fasteners while allowing disassembly with standard hand tools.

Suitable for use on most oil-coated, "as-received" fasteners without cleaning, LOCTITE® 243 offers reliable performance for service and maintenance tasks. NSF/ANSI 61 certified for use in potable water systems.

How to Use:

1. Preparation – Cleaning: Degrease and clean surfaces with LOCTITE® SF 7063, SF 7064, or SF 7070.
2. Preparation – Activation: For slow cure on passive metals or temperatures below 5°C, use LOCTITE® SF 7240 or SF 7649 activator.
3. Application: Apply threadlocker to the engagement area. For through holes, insert bolt, apply to exposed thread, assemble nut, and torque to specification.
4. Assembly: Tighten bolts to the correct torque within fixture time.
